Martin Casado

General Partner, Andreessen Horowitz

Martin Casado is a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where he leads the firm's infrastructure practice. He joined the firm in 2016. Before that he co-founded Nicira and served as its chief technology officer, and after VMware acquired Nicira in 2012 he ran VMware's networking and security business unit. At Stanford he helped pioneer software-defined networking, and he holds a PhD and a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University.
